SXT Ops and DSP Workplace compared

Updated

DSP Workplace and SXT Ops both sell operations software to Amazon Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). DSP Workplace's home page leads with scheduling, punch sync, chat and a driver app with scorecards. SXT Ops leads with the station's fleet and money: repair orders, fleet and route invoice checks, and the van that can't go out after a failed pre-trip. This page compares the two, with a source and a checked date for every fact about DSP Workplace.

Short answer

If weekly scheduling and syncing punches with payroll are your biggest daily jobs, DSP Workplace offers both today and SXT Ops doesn't yet. If grounded vans, repair bills and invoices that don't match your records cost you more, SXT Ops was built around those.

How Amazon data gets in

  • DSP Workplace: How Amazon data gets into DSP Workplace: not stated on their site.

SXT Ops takes rosters, weekly scorecards, route invoices, fleet invoices, payroll timecards and Cortex route sheets as CSV or Excel files, sent by upload, email forward, an upload link from a folder, or the SXT Ops Companion extension for Chrome, which has no access to any web page. SXT Ops never signs in to Amazon and never asks for an Amazon password. Ask any vendor how its data gets in; the guide on DSP software and your Amazon login lists the questions.

What each lists

  • DSP Workplace: DSP Workplace's home page lists schedules with multiple shift types and weekly patterns, a payroll punch integration, chat that can send text messages, a fleet module with maintenance templates, call-in and no call, no show tracking, and a mobile app with the driver scorecard.

SXT Ops: a wave board for the day, built by dispatch or from a Cortex route sheet; a driver app that installs from a texted link, with today's card, a 14-item pre and post-trip with photos, the driver's own scorecard and hours, and incident reports; one conversation per driver with your team, and texts only to drivers who agreed to them; attendance, write-ups, coaching records and incidents; repair orders and van status; and on the Back office plan, fleet and route invoice checks and timecard flags from the timecard files you import.

Weekly scheduling and a payroll export are Planned in SXT Ops, not available yet.

SXT Ops: Station $399 per station a month, Station + Back office $699, $199 for each extra station, unlimited users. The first 10 DSPs get 90 days free as founding pilots; after that new DSPs get a 45-day free trial.

DSP Workplace's base price is lower than the SXT Ops Station plan for any station under 160 users, before add-ons: 40 users at $2.50 is $100 a month. The total depends on which add-ons you take and how many vehicles you run, so compare it with your own counts. The pricing comparison has more sizes.

Where DSP Workplace is ahead

  • Weekly scheduling with multiple shift types and weekly patterns, which SXT Ops doesn't have yet.
  • A payroll punch integration. SXT Ops imports timecard exports as files and doesn't send anything back to payroll yet.
  • Add-ons SXT Ops doesn't offer, such as AI photo inspection of vehicles and training videos with automated coaching.
  • A lower base price for any station under 160 users, before add-ons.

Where SXT Ops is different

  • How Amazon data gets in is stated plainly: report files your team downloads, and an extension with no site access.
  • Fleet and route invoice checks with dollar evidence and dispute drafts, tracked until the credit posts.
  • Repair orders from estimate to back in service, with labor rate checks, AMP coverage before approval and follow-up timers.
  • The SXT Ops Companion for Chrome, which shows each morning which reports are still missing.
